The nature of the incident was not specified in the media or by Blatter’s spokesman but it is thought to be stress-related.

His personal adviser Klaus Stohlker told Press Association Sport: “He has been told to rest for the next five days”.
Stoehlker says “the doctors told him to stay cool and relaxed for a few days, and that’s what he’s doing”.
Blatter, who has appealed his suspension, blames UEFA for trying to oust him from the position.
“There are also many other pressure groups who have raised questions about him….” So they took him out for a few days.
Blatter will officially leave his role next February when a new president will be elected.
Suspended Federation Internationale de Football Association president Sepp Blatter is under “medical evaluation” for stress, according to his spokesman.
But on June 2, Blatter announced he would resign, saying that “FIFA needs a profound restructuring”.
Blatter, who often impresses observers with his boundless energy and has fiercely fought his corner over the corruption allegations, has been Federation Internationale de Football Association president since 1998.

Asked why Blatter had been chosen as the “Bad Guy” for the town’s Bonfire Night celebrations, Shepherd said: “Well, it’s always hard”.
