‘Spectre’ beats Skyfall’s UK record with whopping $9.2 million opening

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry have joined the stars of new James Bond film Spectre for its world premiere in London.

The royal guests were met by director Sam Mendes and producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson ahead of the screening at the Royal Albert Hall.

Breaker. Record breaker. That’s what James Bond’s latest flick, Spectre is in the United Kingdom, a week and change out from its USA debut.

Léa Seydoux agrees – she also thinks James Bond has tipped more towards the feminist side of things with her character absconding from the traditional “have sex with Bond and then die at the end” archetype. “We were delighted to support Sony Pictures on this very special occasion”.

Daniel – who first starred as Bond in the 2006 hit “Casino Royale” – said: “It’s fantastic to see everyone out tonight”.

The figure was much bigger than the first-day United Kingdom gross sale for the last Bond movie, Skyfall that was released in 2012, the studio said in a statement.

Britain’s Guardian and Telegraph newspapers gave Spectre a maximum five stars, with The Telegraph praising the film’s “swaggering show of confidence”. We’d say it’s only a matter of time until MI6 recruit him.

Daniel Craig’s time within Her Majesty’s Secret Service might be drawing to a close with his fourth tuxedo-clad 007 run in “Spectre”, but he’s still an interested party in who assumes his shaken-not-stirred alter ego in the future.

Christoph Waltz, who co-stars as the villain in Spectre; Bond girl Monica Bellucci; Ralph Fiennes, who plays M; and Mendes were among the other celebs who appeared on the red carpet.

And Harris, like Seydoux, believes that there could one day be a female Bond. He said: “I did have an enquiry a few months after it went online but it was asking what wood had I used?”

“I think you mean the charms of a woman his own age”, the actor replied, referring to himself who at 47 is only years younger than Bellucci.
