When asked about Edwards’s ad against Vitter, Peterson smiled and said “there’s more to come”.
“David Vitter chose prostitutes over patriots”. Edwards is running against Vitter for governor and even picked up the endorsement this week of Republican Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne, who lost to Vitter in the bitter primary.
As far as campaign ads go, it’s hard to get much more concise than this. That runoff will be held on November 21st, but Edwards’ has to like his chances at this point.
But then the narrator tore into Vitter, who apologised in 2007 for being linked to the so-called DC Madam scandal.
The vote to which the ad refers was on House Concurrent Resolution 39 in the 107th Congress on February 27, 2001 when Vitter was a US representative.

“The buy for this ad will be significant enough to ensure that voters have the facts about David Vitter”, spokeswoman Mary-Patricia Wray said in an email to TPM. Records do show Vitter missed the vote.
