Sources said that Ramakant Sharma was questioned by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Madhya Pradesh Police, probing the Vyapam scam.

It said Chouhan, who has been in power in Madhya Pradesh for over a decade, was trying to “mislead” people by requesting the high court for a probe by the CBI into the scam.
A grim faced Chouhan said that he was dispatching a letter to the Madhya Pradesh High Court requesting that the Central Bureau of Investigation be allowed to probe the scandal.
Singh died in Bhopal, under mysterious circumstances on Saturday, while interviewing the parents of Namrata Damor, a girl who also died after her name surfaced in the Vyapam scam.
