Terry hits back at Savage criticism
Robbie Savage, it appears, is not one of those people.

“I’ve come under criticism, individually, from certain players who I’ve looked up to”, Terry said. When others speak, maybe I don’t take it on he chin. What we can say is that, judging by John Terry’s performances for the media, the mentality of the Chelsea players is closer to defiance than resignation. Robbie Savage being one. “I’ve seen Savage – well, I switch him off most of the time when he’s on the telly – he wasn’t much of a player and he was always controversial”.
Michael Owen and Paul Scholes are proving week in, week out, that even if you were a great footballer it doesn’t automatically make you a good pundit. I’ll take it from people like Rio, Carragher and Neville. All day long. From others…
Sod him. Sod his hair.
Terry was speaking before Chelsea’s Champions League match.
“I only played 346 games in the Premier League, captained four clubs in the top flight and won 39 global caps”.
“Whether it’s been going bad, really bad, etc, it’s ridiculous that we have to sit here and talk about it”.
“It’s hard for us to pinpoint, as a group, one thing”. A quick adjustment to the blinds to make sure there’s no glare on the TV, and we’re nearly good to go.
Understandably overlooked in that same press conference on Tuesday, Terry declared his belief that Mourinho was manager of the highest class and the right man to take Chelsea forward. He will take a lot of the responsibility on his shoulders, and that’s unfair.
But we might just tune in tomorrow.

The 34-year-old insisted he accepted criticism from pundits he respected, but had little time for those who had not achieved much in the game.
