US Poll: Trump, Carson in Dead Heat for Republican Presidential Nomination
Carson had a 42 percent favorability rating and a 30 percent unfavorability rating, the best marks in the poll, but 22 percent of respondents either refused to answer or were undecided, suggesting he is not yet well known by all voters. Trump garnered 24 percent of support, while Carson received 23 percent. That level of support would be the first time a Republican has seen double-digit support in the African-American vote since 2004 with George W. Bush. Fifty-one percent of the sample supported Carson, 35 percent supported Trump and 25 percent supported Clinton.

While both Carson and Trump are from the Republican Party, the 3 front runner in the race is from the Democrats. Trump says that he’ll reply in no uncertain terms.

Sanders leads Trump by nine points, 50 percent to 41 percent (versus Clinton’s eight-point advantage), and he’s ahead of Rubio by five points, 46 percent to 41 percent (versus Clinton’s three-point lead). In this sector, Carson has the highest favourability score of 47 percent if pitted against Clinton, who registers a 37 percent score.
Carson has led in a few national polls recently, and in a number of recent Iowa polls, while Trump has led in others. Texas senator Ted Cruz is fourth with 11-percent. “There certainly is and at the moment Dr. Ben Carson is delivering a troubling diagnosis to Secretary Hillary Clinton”, said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.
Half of GOP voters said they’re still trying to decide which candidate to support at the caucuses.

Conducted from October 29 to November 2 via telephone, the Quinnipiac University poll surveyed more than 1,100 national registered voters with a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 2.9 percentage points. Carson placed second with 18 percent. Despite Christie’s proposals to overhaul Social Security and the other entitlements, which he has touted in the presidential debates, just 2 percent said he would be best on that subject.
