Force for Daniel: Star Wars fan has wish granted, sees new film

Fleetwood’s wife, Ashley, took to Facebook Thursday to share that her husband’s wish had come true.

The force was with the Japanese this week as lucky viewers got to witness previously unseen footage from the year’s most hotly-anticipated movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens as a new trailer hit the country’s screens.

“If I got to see the movie, I might actually die from happiness…Growing up, I would watch the movies over and over and analyse every little detail”. Ridley’s plans are as follows: I’m going to curl up on a ball and cry, and hope people like me.

“This one’s for you Daniel Fleetwood!!!”.

In recent weeks, the hashtag #ForceForDaniel starting circulating on social media to raise awareness of Daniel’s plight when his prognosis became such that he would not survive until the film’s official opening.

The social media outburst for Daniel caught the eye of director J.J. Abrams and his wish was finally granted.

It was a heartfelt and touching message that she described, with many other thanks given out to the people who were more closely involved with making it happen. May the force be with you all?#forcefordaniel!!!!

[Yesterday] the wonderful Disney, Bad Robot and Lucasfilm teams made his final dream come true, Daniel just finished watching an unfinished version of Star Wars: “The Force Awakens!!!”.
