In addition to its updated Android operating system and security features, the Priv retains BlackBerry’s high-quality keyboard – hidden by a slide function – and exclusive applications such as BlackBerry Messenger.

BlackBerry is all about security.
BlackBerry has also recently announced that the phone will be receiving monthly Android security updates, at least so long as you buy it through the BlackBerry shop. This will be achieved by the monitoring of apps and outlining how many times services and log information like Global Positioning System co-ordinates, access photo files, or activate the microphone. The security and privacy focused smartphone has received generally positive reviews so far, especially considering it’s a device that’s basically in a league of its own. Most of the people won’t like physical keyboard.
It was also noted that the speakers of the phone are very loud and flawless for those who love listening to music using their smartphones. The high-end Android phone is make or break for BlackBerry.
The screen on the Priv is a nice 5.4-inch AMOLED display that shows a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. The Priv is powered by a 3,410mAh battery and a Schneider-Kreuznach certified 18-megapixel primary camera with dual-LED flash, optical image stabilization to ensure great clarity to the images, and the ability to record 4K videos.
BlackBerry offered the said device to customers with a starting non-contract price of $699 and the pre-ordered Blackberry Priv units will reportedly be released on November 6.
“This smartphone is a powerhouse with sleek design, seamless productivity, and advanced security features on the nation’s most reliable 4G LTE network”.

With the phone finally available for sale, it’ll be really interesting to see how the general consumer market accepts it. Will previous BlackBerry-loyalists jump onboard again now that the hardware is matched by relevant software?
