Bernie Sanders Was Excellent at the MSNBC Forum

He memorably defended Clinton over criticism she had received about her private email server while at the state department – declaring “enough with the damn emails”. During the debate, Bernie Sanders came to Hillary Clinton’s defense over the infamous email scandal, claiming that America was exhausted of hearing about her “d*mn emails”.

“Do you know how to wobble”, Martin asked the presidential hopeful. “So I said no to the Keystone on day one”.

“I can’t walk down a hallway in the nation’s capitol without [reporters] begging me to beat up on Hillary Clinton, attack Hillary Clinton”.

Hillary Clinton tried at a Democratic forum Friday to soften her rhetoric on the death penalty and foreign policy while avoiding giving any answers that would alienate a general electorate. “There are Republicans I could pick, just none of them”.

“I would want you, if you go to the store and you have to buy something, I want it to be free”, Andrew says, clarifying the law would apply to toy stores.

Clinton vowed at a town hall in heavily African-American Orangeburg to tackle problems important to black voters, from improving historically black colleges and universities to curing sickle cell anemia, an inherited blood disease that disproportionately affects African-Americans.

Civil rights activist Deray McKesson praised O’Malley for his responses. Bernie Sanders, Clinton’s stoutest Democratic opponent.

Mr Sanders, who is known for despising conversation about much other than policy on the campaign trail, cracked a joke, asking Ms Maddox if she was about to ask how many pairs of underwear he owns when she warned him about the forthcoming round. “And I did not ever seriously think about running for office until 1998 when I got – or 1999, 1999 until I got convinced to run for the Senate”, she said.

O’Malley added that he was “proud” when President Barack Obama was elected, whereas “Senator Sanders was trying to find someone to primary him” in his 2012 reelection bid. “I am a Democrat”.

Significance of voter turnout: If I win, by the way, that will mean there’s a very large voter turnout, that’s how I will win, and I suspect the Democrats will recapture the Senate and hopefully the House…. “I’m not a former Republican”.

South Carolina has the potential to play a key role in the Democratic nominating process.

In an effort to break into what’s shaping up to be a two-person primary race, O’Malley also took aim at Sanders, suggesting that the self-identified democratic socialist is not a loyal member of the party.

But Clinton also offered a hint that she’ beginning to think about the base-broadening she’ll need to do as a general election candidate.

“Anybody who thinks that they can influence what I will do doesn’t know me very well. I want to be the president for the struggling, the striving and the successful”.

When asking Clinton about credit reform and Congresswoman Maxine Waters’ (D-CA) Fair Credit Improvement Act, Martin shared a personal example of how he didn’t get a job early in his career due to a poor credit report.

While Clinton has appeared to solidify her support in the party in recent weeks, she is far from a locking up the nomination.

The offensive comes little more than a week before the candidates will meet in Iowa for their next debate, a forum Clinton showed a commanding control of during the first match-up last month.
