With Android powering the smartphones, BlackBerry has a huge task at hand to ensure that this complex and rapidly changing open source mobile OS continues to provide the desired protection and privacy.

Canadian smartphone manufacturer BlackBerry is pinning its hopes of gaining traction once more in the market on its newest Android-based device, BlackBerry Priv. While the new smartphone from BlackBerry is widely lauded for its high-end specs and hardware, a few critics are somewhat taciturn about its hefty price tag. Giving you the ability to use it like a trackpad, giving you another way to navigate around the BlackBerry Priv. You can also set up quick shortcuts with the keyboard and program your most used apps to a key of your desire. The phone has an expandable SD card slot, supporting up to 2TB of additional storage. In fact, the Priv is likely to be available for purchase beginning this weekend in at least three countries: Canada, United States and the United Kingdom.
