Nestle Relaunches Maggi, Partners With Snapdeal for Online Sales
Nestle lost more than 75 million Swiss francs ($74.7 million) over the ban, which forced it to destroy more than 37,000 tonnes of the noodles, India’s leading brand.

In June, India’s Health Ministry ordered the removal of Maggi noodles from stores after safety tests by several states found high levels of lead.
Nestle India chief executive Suresh Narayanan was brought in to handle the crisis from Nestle’s unit in the Philippines and is the first Indian-born head of Nestle India in decades. Nestlé India also said they were in talks with the states that have still shown reluctance to allow the product back into the market.
Moneycontrol BureauIn a latest development, Nestle India says that Maggi Noodles are sold out on Snapdeal.
Nestle India had announced earlier their stand has been vindicated after 100 percent of Maggi Noodles samples sent from the newly manufactured stocks tested by three laboratories were cleared.
The company further said that Maggi Noodles will not be avialable in 8 states that have banned its sale. MAGGI Noodles has very special relationships and strong emotional bonds with its consumers across the country and I am confident that our bonds will grow even stronger. The company had withdrawn the instant noodle brand from the market. The company reported a 60% drop in September quarter net profit at Rs 124.20 crore for the quarter down from Rs 311.30 crore.
The Maggi issue had also impacted the bottomline of the parent firm Nestle SA.

Initially slow to respond to the plethora of outrage from consumers on social media, Nestle India has immediately published it’s latest announcement on Twitter this time round.
