Police told 1010 WINS a 20-year-old man was shot in the arm and torso by a detective near the intersection of Bedford Avenue and Monroe Street in Brooklyn just after 6:30 p.m.
EMS transferred the suspect to Kings County Hospital In serious but Stable Condition, 16-year-old Suspect was taken into custody, and the third Suspect fled from the scene.
Police opened fire and a suspect was shot in the stomach. One of the detectives was approached by three men who attempted to rob him at gunpoint.
Police said the three men were running a scam, posting apartment rentals on Craigslist and then robbing prospective tenants who arrived to view the nonexistent rentals. “It appears to be a semi-automatic but we don’t know if it’s a real gun or a fake gun, that will be looked at by our laboratory”, said Conry.
