Gears 360 available to Gears of War: Ultimate Edition owners in December

We are honored to confirm not only will the entire series of Gears of War games for Xbox 360 come to the Backward Compatibility program when it becomes generally available, but that we’ll also be giving tokens for the collection to everyone who plays Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Xbox Live between August 25 and Dec 31 2015. “Stay tuned because this just the beginning of a long list of Xbox 360 games that will run on Xbox One”. You also get access to the original game with its 360 graphics instead of the prettier Xbox One remastered visuals that the Ultimate Edition has. Bethesda’s open world RPG Fallout 3 joins the roster, as does Ubisoft’s popular Rainbow Six: Vegas franchise.

The list of 104 360 games is below, but it’s only the beginning. From Square-Enix, you’ll be able to enjoy Just Cause 2 on your Xbox One ahead of the release of Just Cause 3.

Party and game chat: You may be unable to hear others when joining a party chat.Workaround: Switching to game chat should allow you to hear others correctly.

There are more big games coming in the future, though, Microsoft says, including Halo Reach, Halo Wars, Call of Duty: Black Ops and all three BioShock games.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition owners will not only be able to take advantage of the double XP in any multiplayer playlist, but Warzone will be temporarily switched out for ‘Classic: Execution, ‘ a mode that consists of ten rounds and only a five-second timer before players are able to self-revive.
