Carson: Birther story ‘not even close’ to media scrutiny he faces

In the edited version, they water it down to mumbling that Carson “conceded that he never applied nor was granted admission to West Point…” “They see that”, the recent GOP frontrunner said. “I doubt it”, he wrote on the Facebook post. This is an utterly spurious assertion.

Dr. Ben Carson on Sunday continued to blast those scrutinizing his past, refusing to offer up the one person who might help corroborate stories from his youth – his older brother, Curtis. There, friends say Carson met near-constant public adulation with humility and good humor. Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson is firing back at the media after a series of press investigations into his background. In a tweet, Carson attributed this cash infusion to “media bias”.

Showing that this wasn’t just a once-off act of violence, Carson also wrote about how he punched someone while holding a lock leaving a bloody three-inch gash in their forehead and how he tried to hit his mother with a hammer. The feeding frenzy of assembled reporters over such an insignificant story simply proved his point.

Carson wrote alongside the article, “Did CNN do any research at all?”

So why is this happening? “And if you don’t like journalism, we should talk about that with presidential candidates”. The same way Donald Trump – and his finances – are. Actually, it’s no story at all. You see, it was all part of a hoax to see who the most honest student in the class was.

Carson says he prayed to God to take away the flashes of anger he had experienced throughout this boyhood and that God answered his prayer.

Again: The facts of Carson’s life were more than enough to make the country cheer. Indeed, Carson predicted that very thing on Friday.

In response to ABC News’ request for comment on the Wall Street Journal report, Carson’s campaign said it was likely that he does not remember the name of the class. On Friday, he canceled the interview. But, in any case, he was not claiming this as a fact. “There is no question about it”, he said, although he did not verify who exactly was anxious about the polling. That seems a weak excuse for avoiding the real experts; if O’Reilly could have interviewed people who knew Reagan and his presidency best, it could not have been that hard to note the authors’ supposition of the interviewees’ biases, or to exclude information that the authors believed to be overly prejudicial or hagiographic. Ben Carson wants to give taxbreaks to millionaires…

As proof of its existence, Carson Sunday posted a student newspaper article citing the class to offer proof it existed – but didn’t offer evidence that he was enrolled in it. Conservatives are right to point out the double standards. But what do you expect from the man who once said, “At a certain point, you’ve made enough money”.

The Democratic presidential candidate did not miss an opportunity to blast his Republican opponent on issues such as Medicare and climate change, however. But did the media try to destroy Obama’s credibility? But, hey, if you can trust Iran to honor an agreement, why not China? He has a book that he has based his entire – it’s his autobiography, how he tells his story. Many people thought his campaign was dead then and there. He did not state whether or not he is pictured or even mentioned in it as the most honest student, nor did either moderator bother to ask, perhaps out of fear they would be accused of posing a “gotcha” question.
