Eagles never give Cowboys chance in extra time
He carried the ball 27 times for 117 yards Sunday night, breaking the century mark for the second time in three games. NBC10’s Randy Gyllenhaal speaks to excited fans and also shows the highlights from a tailgating event and fundraiser featuring former Eagle Brian Dawkins.

He was probably just happy to leave with a win.
Sam Bradford threw a 41-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Matthews in overtime to give the Phialdelphia Eagles a 33-27 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
The Dallas Cowboys hosted the Philadelphia Eagles in an NFC East showdown, but it was the away team, Philadelphia, who came away with the 30-27 victory in overtime.
The Cowboys fell to 2-6 and have lost all six games they’ve had to play without starting quarterback Tony Romo.
Hardy wasn’t available in the locker room after the game. Matt Cassel did throw for 299 yards and three touchdowns in the losing cause, and both Dez Bryant and Cole Beasley topped 100 yards receiving, but it wasn’t enough. Dez Bryant, one of the best receivers in the game, jumped up higher than anyone to make the catch to tie the game at 21 with 10:52 left in regulation. But they play four of their next five games on the road. Ryan Mathews punched in the touchdown run. The big play came on a 44-yard pass to DeMarco Murray on a wheel route.
The yardage and receptions are career-highs for Beasley.
It’s over. The Cowboys aren’t running out of games; they’ve run out. But I’ll just take you back to a year ago at Thanksgiving.
On the ensuing drive, they gave up a 93-yard yard drive on 11 plays. It was Maxwell’s second interference call on the drive. The Eagles have been outscored 81-67 in the first half. The scoring play was a Murray 1-yard run on fourth down.
“I never look at things like that”, Kelly said. A few redemption for Matthews after a slow start to his season.
He finished with nine catches for 133 yards. They don’t even get those two teams again, because the Giants and Eagles are the two teams they beat in the first two weeks before Romo went down.
They almost had 100 yards (98) at halftime.
-There are far too many stretches of time when I think that this offense is a complete dud and nothing is going to change. He didn’t get a lot of help from his receivers, who led the league in drops. On Sunday, Bradford didn’t hit them but they weren’t getting any separation.
Hicks, a third-round draft pick out of Texas, was forced into action early this season due to injuries but quickly asserted himself as a valuable cog in the middle of the defense. Hicks left the game with an injury during the Cowboys’ field-goal tying drive in the fourth-quarter.
It was a carryover from five days earlier, when the quarterback, acquired in an offseason trade with the St. Louis Rams, returned from the team’s bye week having adopted a noticeably more aggressive and assertive demeanor.
■ The Eagles still can wear opponents out with Chip Kelly’s up-tempo offense. He overran a couple times and other times, he looked lost.
Most importantly, the Eagles are in the playoff race, gunning for a division championship and the postseason berth that comes with it. If this team continues to play the way it did on Sunday, who knows?
Week 9 in the NFL claimed another batch of injury victims, with three players headed to IR and one, New England Patriots running back Dion Lewis, likely damning the fortunes of a number of fantasy football lineups in the process.
The Goats: After the first half, there wasn’t much defense to speak of here.
Philadelphia returns home to host the Miami Dolphins. The following week, they’ll host the Buccaneers.
