Will Smith says he will tour with DJ Jazzy Jeff

“We never actually had a chance to go out and do a full tour”, Will said, explaining that his success on the show made it hard for him and Jeff to maintain their momentum.

DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince won a wide following in the United States in the late 1980s as hip-hop was becoming mainstream.

Smith, who released five studio albums with his musical counterpart before taking a hiatus in 1993, confirmed for DeGeneres and her excited crowd-he and Jeff are definitely packing up and hitting the road.

“I keep a stash”, Smith told her. “I have a couple of new things”.

Last month, Smith, 47, shocked his fans by dropping his first song in 10 years and making his return to music by appearing on a remix of Bomba Estero’s “Fiesta”.

“Well, you got to come”.

When Will found TV stardom in 1990 with the now-classic sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”, however, his career began to take a different trajectory.

Despite Will Smith’s busy schedule, juggling movie roles in the upcoming blockbusters like Concussion, Suicide Squad, and hopefully Bad Boys III, the big-time actor seems to have enough time to squeeze in a music tour. While Smith has been acting and performing, Townes has been producing. Now, Smith is bringing us another blast from the past. “I keep a stash”, says Smith with a laugh.

“I’ve been going now for three years nonstop and it feels right for me to just go home and just live my life and be a 23-year-old”, he told Entertainment Tonight in October. It’s simple as Will has been my partner for 30-something years.
