On Tuesday, July 7, federal authorities raided the Zionsville, Indiana home of famed Subway spokesman Jared Fogle, searching for child pornography.

The sandwich chain has removed all references to Fogle from its website, and said in a statement that the two parties have “mutually agreed to suspend their relationship due to the current investigation”.

Subway has been trending all day on Twitter, after authorities searched Fogle’s home as part of a probe into what the company said they believed to be related to a ex- Jared Foundation Employee.

Jared has been cooperating, and continues to cooperate, with law enforcement in their investigation of unspecified charges, and looks forward to its conclusion”, Elberger said in a statement.

Subway is suspending their partnership with Jared Fogle amid the investigation of his link to child pornography.

“Whether Jared is guilty or not, Subway was foolish to associate its brand with an icon the restaurant never developed in-house”, writes Toni Matthews in Inquisitr. The arrest and charges against Taylor was based on information that Taylor was allegedly in possession of illegal pornographic images.

Investigators had little to say about the raid, but the sandwich chain said it might be linked to the earlier arrest of someone who used to work for Fogle. Taylor was the ex- executive of Fogle’s charity devoted to securing children’s health.

Authorities were seen Tuesday hauling away electronics and documents from Fogle’s home in Indiana.

Fogle founded the Jared Foundation in 2004 with the aim of educating children and parents on proper nutrition and exercise and combating childhood obesity.

Subway has made a lot of bread with Fogle in its kitchen, and, given the right circumstances, could incorporate him into its marketing recipe at a later date – providing the investigation turns up nothing that would leave consumers with a bad taste in their mouths.

The company’s chief marketing officer told the Daily News that Fogle is likely responsible for one-third to one-half of Subway’s growth in the past 15 years.
