“It’s going to be unpredictable”.

Democratic Politics Continue to Favor ClintonAmong the likely Democratic voters nationwide, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton drew 54.8 percent of the respondents’ support. But in an economic policy focused debate, both at times faded to the background during the two-hour contest.

The survey of 614 registered voters in Pennsylvania, including 303 Democrats and 231 Republicans, was conducted between October 19-25.

Voters are paying closer attention to the candidates and their positions than they did six months ago, but it’s nothing like the attention they’ll pay when the new year arrives and balloting nears.

Tuesday night’s crowed certainly enjoyed Trump’s playful pleading. “Elect Trump if you want that”. He mocked Carson’s “super-low energy” and joked that Carson was sleeping when the poll results were released.

“The poll does carry an important caveat, however: 70% of respondents said they had not settled on a choice yet”.

On Monday, Trump called Carson “weak” on the Second Amendment.

Ben Carson stated that “debates are supposed to be established to help the people get to know the candidate”.

“I got to say hello to Todd”.

“I am a great Christian”, Trump said. We’ll have to see. “I mean, what is my competition, in all fairness?”

For his part, Carson said Sunday he won’t “get in the mud pit” and retaliate.

Trump is despicable in many ways, but his actual political views seem to be fluid, depending on the audience and the situation, and my guess is that he would cause a lot less damage than the other two guys.

“Trump has to decide whether to soften his approach or continue shredding candidates”, said the pollster Frank Luntz.

Now, the invincibility he once had is showing signs of stress and weakness. Marco Rubio’s on everyone’s list of candidates who can soar, and Donald Trump is, well, Donald Trump.

The GOP presidential hopeful took to the stage at a rally in New Hampshire when he started talking about rebuilding our nation rather than spreading democracy, using an anecdote about Islamic veils to prove his point that people in the Middle East don’t want freedom. Yet the contours of the race have been clarified, with outsiders capitalizing on voter frustration with Washington and candidates with political experience hoping the race ultimately turns their way. The move comes just days after he stole the front-runner mantle from Trump in Iowa, a key early voting state. “So I’m a little bit surprised”.

Trump has changed his own public statements about abortion.

“If he didn’t have Trump, he’d need to invent Trump”.

So, just another debate, in an endless series of them, on a night when the Mets and Royals play the second game of the World Series.

Maybe it’s time for more Trump chopper rides for the kids? He will want to come off as a prepared statesman armed with a plan that will create more jobs without raising taxes. Trump was followed in Florida by Senator Rubio (21.5 percent); then former Governor Jeb Bush (15.3 percent); and then Carson (14.7 percent).
