75 palestinians killed, 2372 injured since outbreak of Jerusalem intifada

Israel has accused Palestinian officials of inciting violence by spreading the allegations, which it says are false.

In Israel, a news website closely followed by religious Jews hosted a video game in which children were urged to “neutralise” attackers dressed as Arabs.

Families of young people killed in the violence have clamoured for their bodies to be released and accuse authorities of “collective punishment”.

Many attackers who have targeted Israeli forces come from Hebron, a stronghold of the Islamist movement Hamas. They note his long history of supporting nonviolent resistance, reiterated as recently as September in a speech to the United Nations, and the continued cooperation of Palestinian security forces with their Israeli counterparts.

Although the six-week span of intensified Palestinian attacks erupted largely after rumors of an Israeli takeover of the Temple Mount – a holy site for both Muslims and Jews – most of the Palestinians and Jerusalem residents who carried out the attacks were secular, according to the report.
