Seth Rollins To Miss Six to Nine Months With Knee Injury, New

Tough luck for WWE superstar and world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins. The participants of the tournament have yet to be announced.

John Cena, indisputable face of the company, is taking a few months off; rumored to return around the end of the year. Randy Orton is also out anywhere from four-to-six months with shoulder surgery.

But the question now is on whether or not Reigns is indeed ready to inherit the WWE heavyweight title from Rollins. Injecting myself into the story for a moment, I feel his pain, or rather, I’ve felt his pain, having endured a torn ACL and MCL and the subsequent lengthy rehab from a sports injury in high school. I expect to see big pushes coming for Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, with Kevin Owens being their heel counterpart. First up I’m in Leeds tomorrow for the WWE live event there, and will also be attending the Meet and Greet at Smyths Toys to meet my favorite WWE Diva, and hopefully a future guest on my podcast one day in Paige.

Brock Lesnar, as well as John Cena, have been locally advertised for the California show, but only Lesnar and Paul Heyman have been confirmed to appear by WWE.

ESPN’s Jonathan Coachman said on his Twitter account that Rollins is expected to miss six to nine months of WWE action because of the injury.

The fate of who walks out of Survivor Series with the WWE Championship could possibly be influenced on Mr. Money in the Bank. If he can make it back in a week, then there would be just one week before Survivor Series arrives and not a lot of time to start a program. You know, the same pay-per-view that Rollins was forced to vacate his title just two weeks before it occurred. Doing so would put incredible heat on Sheamus, which is exactly what WWE wants. That’s nonsense; the WWE has perhaps the deepest roster, talent-wise, in company history. With Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman by his side, the Wyatt Family could help Bray win the title, making him a very hard champion to beat.

Ambrose is a longshot to win the tournament and become WWE World Heavyweight Champion, but he can’t be ruled out as a possibility. Could you imagine Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar facing off for the WWE Championship in a three way tables, ladders and chairs match?
