The £679 price only applies to the 32GB WiFi-only model – the 128GB version with the WiFi and 4G data connection will cost £899. Made to work with the company’s new Pencil and Smart Keyboard accessories, the iPad Pro has a 2732×2048 pixel Retina display, an A9X chip, and four speakers to convey stereo imaging in any orientation.

The Smart Keyboard is a keyboard and case combo for iPad Pro. Later this week the iPad Pro will also be available from Apple brick-and-mortar stores, as well as a few carriers and authorized Apple resellers. Apple Pencil and Apple’s new Smart Keyboard will also available to order on Thursday.

The bigger iPad Pro has a 12.9-inch Retina display with 5.6 million pixels. If you want the 128GB tablet with 4G LTE connectivity, you’ll need to shell out £899, which is $1,358 or €1,263. It then features the Apple Pencil as the stylus is used on the iPad Pro to annotate on the latter app.

To truly celebrate the iPad Pro, Apple has an advert that is out of this world.

The iPad Pro will be powered by a 64-bit Apple A9X processor, which is promised to offer twice the memory bandwidth of the A8X in the iPad Air 2, as well as storage performance that’s twice as fast.

The light and thin iPad Pro makes sketching and drawing natural as it delivers accuracy for detailed 3D design and fine art illustration.

In a statement, Cupertino said that the early response to the iPad Pro from developers had been positive, and that the company was looking forward to getting the device into the hands of consumers.
