Xiaomi Mi Band 1S/Mi Band Pulse Launched
Xiaomi’s updated Mi fitness band adds heart-rate tracking and better sleep monitoring without a huge price hike. Interestingly, the new version is only half a gram heavier than the original at just 13.5g and is roughly the same size too. The new MI Band Pulse will launch in China on November 11, and global dates have not been confirmed yet. The original Mi Band will still be available for those seeking something more basic, with a slightly lower price of 69 CNY, or around $11. This band comes with solid upgrade to company’s most popular fitness band.

It’s worth noting that these two new products of Xiaomi are presently available only in China. It will include the usual steps tracker, sleeping patterns, notifications, and essentially do everything the former Mi Band did. It’s being reported that Samsung is looking to challenge the device and is now working on its own cheap wearable device codenamed ‘Triathlon’. It is a new fitness tracker that will reportedly combine with a built-in heart rate monitor.
It can also be speculated that the product will be compatible with all Android devices rather than just those made by Samsung.
The Mi Band Pulse is a new activity tracker from Xiaomi that is the follow-up to the Mi Band.

The display on the second edition of Mi Band is still missing but there are lots of improvements from its predecessor. The on-board 45mAh battery is said to last 20 days-less than the 30 days of its predecessor. As Xiaomi prepares to launch the Mi Band Pulse in other regions, the company could ensure that the launch corresponds with holidays to capitalize on the holiday season. Of course, comparing the pricey Apple Watch and the $16 Mi Band Pulse ignores how much more revenue Apple is making, but in terms of pure volume, Xiaomi is still doing extremely well.
