Apple drops first tvOS update for the new Apple TV
The software update named tvOS 9.0.1 comes just over a week after the new and improved hockey puck went on sale to the public.

Apple did not release any information on exactly what is included in the update, it is available now as an over the air update. However, through Apple TV interface, the update is categorized as only a software update with no release notes. While this update may not be super exciting to any early Apple TV adopters, Apple is already testing a tvOS 9.1 update with developers, and that one ought to bring a few more notable changes than tvOS 9.0.1. Even though it is possible to connect Apple TV to iTunes via USB-C to restore the software, but it loses all data in the process.
