Angels slugger Albert Pujols undergoes surgery on right foot
On Monday, Angels first baseman/designated hitter Albert Pujols had surgery on his right foot to fix the planter plate in his right foot.

The Angles announced Pujols will be unable to resume baseball activities for four-and-a-half months as he recovers from the surgery, according to Jon Morosi of Fox Sports.
“The surgery, as expected, went very well”, said Angels General Manager Billy Eppler.
Morosi later mentioned that the long recovery will likely make it impossible for Pujols to be available for opening day in 2016. 312 with 560 home runs and 1,698 RBIs.
A 10-time All Star and three-time National League MVP, Pujols enjoyed a resurgence this season as he hit 40 home runs for the first time since 2010. 255 with a. 323 on-base percentage and a. 532 slugging percentage in the first 85 games this season.
Pujols, troubled by pain in his right foot, was limited to designated hitter over the final month of the 2015 season. However, he will be 36 as he enters the fifth year of a 10-year, back-loaded contract worth $240 million.

The Angels are hoping Pujols will be ready by the start of the season.
