Two Dark Souls 3 special editions listed by UAE retailer
It seems we have a leaked launch date and two special editions courtesy of Geekay Games; the site has published listings for the Dark Souls III Collector’s Edition and the even fancier Prestige Edition.

GameSpot reports that the Collector’s Edition, which costs D499 (£90) includes a 25cm Red Knight statue, hardcover art book, CD soundtrack, cloth map, three iron-on patches, metal case and collector’s box. The Collector’s Edition costs 499 AED, which roughly translates to $136, and the Prestige Edition will run for 1,799 AED, with exchange rates changing it to about $490.
We’ve followed up with Bandai Namco to see if it will confirm any of these details.
While the images with the listings definitely seem official, the last we heard from publisher Namco Bandai about Dark Souls III was during the Tokyo Game Show, when release dates of March 24th for Japan, and sometime in April for United States and Europe were provided. The release date listed being April 12, 2016. It comes with all the same goodies as the Collector Edition, with the exception of an alternate figurine of the Lord of Cinder that’s 40 centimeters big.
Well it looks like the hype train for Dark Souls 3 just went up another notch.

From Software has said that the gameplay mechanics that will be used by the coming title are heavily based on that from Dark Souls 2 but with a range of refinements and a few entirely new features. Speaking of which, if either of these special editions of the game make it to your neck of the woods, are you planning on picking either of them up?
