UFO Clouds Baffle Residents Of Cape Town South Africa – Dark ‘Omen’ Or

Several people on social media websites were absolutely convinced the UFO clouds were real evidence of extraterrestrial activity, such as Dr. Turi, a celebrity astrologer.

The clouds formed breathtaking formations, with a few Twitter users commenting that it looked like UFO’s. “Only a true MJ12 can offer the public information that a conventional rational science could never accept or understand”.

Meteorologists said the formations in the photos are known as lenticular clouds, which result from strong wins carrying moisture over mountains and other uneven surfaces.

Meteorologist Mr Van Dam wrote on Facebook: “They form when conditions are just right”.

Mr Mijlof told Sky News the clouds started forming over Table Mountain – about five miles from the city – at around 3pm and his picture was taken three hours later as the formation peaked.

At any rate, these “UFO clouds” look particularly circular, which is likely why they’ve gone viral on the web so quickly.

Lenticular clouds, which come from a Latin word meaning “lens-like”, can form in many places around the world and have been blamed for a number of previous “UFO sightings”. Are the UFO clouds in Cape Town an omen of alien intervention or a simple result of climate and weather?
