After the addition of Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron to the cast of the forthcoming Baywatch film, now Deadline has reported that seven female stars are in talks for roles in the film. However, there is still no official confirmation regarding the news.

Nina is among seven actresses being considered for the role, with Alexandra Daddario [True Detective], Ashley Benson [Pretty Little Liars], Alexandra Shipp [X-Men: Apocalypse], Shelly Hennig [Teen Wolf], Bianca Santos [The Duff], and Denyse Tontz [Big Time Rush] all providing strong competition.
Bianca Santos starred in The Duff and Ouija and had a recurring role on ABC Family’s The Fosters. “Baywatch” will reportedly offer a comedy-heavy take and become loosely connected to the original series. As AceShowbiz reports citing Deadline, the movie sets a shortlist of actresses who will test for a female lead.
In a previous interview with Hollywood Life, Anderson revealed that she is not into the remake at all. “Good luck with that one!” she said during PETA’s 35th anniversary celebration last September 30. No word yet on what the part actually involves, but the plot for “Baywatch” will revolve around a serious lifeguard and a young hotshot who team up to save a beach from a mean, ‘ol oil tycoon.
Seth Gorden, who was behind disgusting Bosses & Id Theft is about to direct the film, which Johnson additionally claims will probably be R-rated.

The Baywatch movie has been in the pipeline since 2004 – just three years after the iconic television series went off the air – but it has been running in slow motion ever since, due to the film-maker’s difficulty both in finding the right story and also determining the tone for a modern-day cinematic version.
