Now, after two weeks, the Kings have more issues to worry about than how Rondo will gel with the team.
According to Yahoo!, Kings general manager Vlade Divac, Cousins is “50/50” to play Monday night and will return by Wednesday against the Detroit Pistons for sure.

Conversely, coaches had reason to be upset with the effort on a few nights. To be fair the schedule has been absolutely barbaric, as six of the eight Kings’ opponents were playoff participants a year ago, and nearly all of those were teams that enjoyed deep playoff runs. Safe bet is on them firing Karl, because it’s what the Kings have done recently.
“I understand you can’t live and die off your shot, so if my shot is not falling I have to do other things”, said Mills.
Rondo is pushing the ball, but the Kings aren’t getting much out of its 20th ranked offense or 27th ranked defense. He’s been yanking players in and out of the starting lineup-he started James Anderson last night but only left him on the floor for seven minutes-and hasn’t really been offering consistent minutes to anyone. “I’ve had everything in my life, from six straight to nine straight”, Kings head coach George Karl said.

“I was pretty worn out, throughout the game”, Cousins said. He and swingman Omri Casspi were the only players to address reporters Tuesday. “And then the message should be delivered from someone in that way in a professional setting”. That much is expected, especially from a team who haven’t won more than 30 games in a season since 2007-08. If those things don’t happen, the consternation around the situation will continue until something gives way. And for a team that already had real problems before the losing even started, you can only imagine what’s to come for the Kings.
