Evaluating The Decision Not To Extend Bradley Beal
With the win, Minnesota improves to 3-2 on the season and a flawless 3-0 on the road. “We kept playing hard and then were able to keep stretching out the lead”.

Washington Wizards guard John Wall (2) drives to the basket as Atlanta Hawks guard Dennis Schroder (17) defends during the second half of an NBA basketball game against the Washington Wizards on Saturday, November 7, 2015, in Atlanta.
But Beal suffered what looked like a nasty shoulder injury against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday, and there was a few concern when the Wizards didn’t release an update on his status Sunday.
Kent Bazemore matched a career high with 25 points as the Hawks pulled away from the Wizards. “Usually, when you’re in a shooting slump, you get a good one when you break out of it. I don’t know. He didn’t do anything [today at practice]”, Wizards Coach Randy Wittman said.
NOTES: G Kyle Korver, who had ankle surgery during the summer, played in the second of back-to-back games for the first time after being resting by the Hawks in two earlier situations.
The Timberwolves are coming off an impressive victory as well after holding the Chicago Bulls scoreless in the extra period of a 102-93 overtime victory. “We just kept telling him stay aggressive, keep shooting the ball… eventually it’s going to happen”.
On the positive side, Bradley Beal scored 24 points to continue his torrid start.
Paul Millsap had 21 points, seven rebounds and six assists for Atlanta, and Al Horford scored 14 points.
Many didn’t think the Hawks could repeat what they did last season, winning 60 games, but Atlanta has a 7-1 record, good for first the East. Jeff Teague and Thabo Sefolosha had 10 points each. He earned a roster spot in 2012 after going undrafted, but spent most of his time on Mark Jackson’s bench before being traded to the Lakers midway through the 2014 season. In fact, Beal shot just 33.1 percent on shots between 16 feet out and the three-point arc last season, as opposed to 40.9 percent on threes. Beal scored a team-high 24 points while Wall struggled from the field (6-of-17, 0-for-3 from deep) but still handed out eight assists while hauling in five rebounds, three steals and three blocks.

Guard Deron Williams scored 19 points and forward Dirk Nowitzki added 18 for Dallas, who needed a game-deciding 17-5 run in the fourth quarter to top the injury-ravaged New Orleans Pelicans 107-98.
