Clinton laughs at Fiorina ‘strangle’ comment

At Tuesday’s town hall-style event in New Hampshire, Mrs Clinton laughed when a man in the crowd spoke of wanting to throttle Carly Fiorina. When Clinton finally did arrive, she was caught in an avalanche of reporters’ questions.

When someone made a comment at one of Donald Trump’s rallies about President Obama being a Muslim, Trump was blasted in the media and by his fellow candidates of both parties. Many critics wondered if Clinton would face similar scrutiny for tacitly endorsing an attendee’s vendetta against her Republican rival.

While a politician has no control over what individuals say during a voter gathering, critics say Hillary – who’s running on a platform to advance the rights of women and minorities – should have said something to express her disapproval of a man stating a desire to be violent toward a woman.

“I know that doesn’t sound very nice”, he said, before Clinton cut in. Bernie Sanders – but did sharpen the contrast with her stoutest opponent by repeatedly emphasizing the fact she is a longtime Democrat.

Sanders has denied that he had any sexist intent with the comment, and Clinton has not directly accused him of such.

She pulled herself together and told him, “I wouldn’t mess with you!”

When Sanders said, during the Democratic debate, that “shouting” about guns will not solve gun violence, Clinton responded by insinuating that Sanders had been making a direct, sexist attack on her.

Standing next to Clinton as she signed the paperwork was Dick Swett, former congressman from New Hampshire; Jim Demers, President Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign co-chairman; Susan Lynch, former New Hampshire first lady; Bill Shaheen, Democratic Sen. She said Saturday that she would like to “see how it works” in individual states “before we do a national plan”.

If Hillary Clinton really wanted more research conducted, like she has claimed so many times, why has she never, ever taken any steps to help make it happen?

Clinton promised to unveil policy proposals to fix the VA after she was criticized for downplaying issues at the agency during an October 23 interview with MSNBC.

Spokesman Nick Merrill said, “You were there”.

After the event, CNN asked Clinton if she truly believed a deal could be struck, something even optimistic environmentalists see as a long shot. “I would like to move it from what’s called Schedule I to Schedule II so that researchers can start researching whats the best way to use it, how much dose does somebody need, and how does it interact with other medications”, said the presidential hopeful on November 7.
