Fox Business moderators Neil Cavuto and Maria Bartiromo promised that they will stay on topic on Tuesday Republican debate, the first one since CNBC’s on October 29.
Fox News chairman Roger Ailes could not have scripted this better if he’d tried.
“But the truth is that tonight, I just thought it was a wonderful debate”.
Numbers provided by Nielsen say that CNBC is available in approximately 93 million homes while Fox Business is in approximately 74 million homes. As we draw closer to the New Year, each debate is getting more important than the last as we are nearing the point of eliminating nominees.
Fox Business, a network many viewers might not have in their cable lineups, will also live stream the debates. 7 p.m. ET: The first round of tonight’s GOP debate will feature four candidates: Gov. Chris Christie, Rick Santorum, Gov. Bobby Jindal and Mike Huckabee.
“We have a big field, so we’re going to need these debates to help our voters understand who they support and who they don’t”.
“Let Jeb speak”, Trump said.
“If you raise the minimum wage you are going to make people more expensive than a machine. The one thing about this one is that he doesn’t want to do it, he feels like it is needed for the country”, said Ben Carson Jr.
The prime-time debate stage will be a little less crowded on Tuesday, while the undercard debate will also look a bit different.
We’ll see how that works out for him, but at least he can take comfort in the fact that governors in general, not to mention establishment politicians, aren’t doing so hot on the Republican side this election season.
