Jindal attacks Huckabee over economy

NJ.com talked with several strategists who all said Christie did a nice job at the debate.

A little more breathing room on the Primetime Debate Stage, with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee being relegated to the early debate, lead to a more focused discussion on the issues.

Four low-rated Republican presidential candidates took turns Tuesday bashing President Obama for what they called a slow-growth economy and argued with each other about who is best qualified to revive the nation’s fortunes by cutting government.

“Well, let’s see, you got a stage that has Chris Christie, Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum and Bobby Jindal”.

Undercard debate, all did better than expected, but Chris Christie seemed in different class. Possible to see as Chief Executive. Christie also said he would “fire a whole bunch of IRS agents”. “I am really exhausted of Americans being the only ones asked to do all the heavy lifting when it comes to charity”.

“When they go to relieve themselves, their cause and their waste get flushed at the same time”, Jindal said, referencing how the senators refrain from using the restroom for long periods of time in order to continue talking on the Senate floor. Jindal is behind him at 0.8 percent. Though Christie has struggled to gain traction, a poll released by Boston public radio station WBUR last week showed his support in New Hampshire, the first primary state, has quadrupled since September.

Jindal continued to blast Christie’s record in New Jersey, even after Christie complimented Jindal’s tenure in Louisiana, derisively saying he’d give him a “ribbon for participation and a juice box”. All the candidates have the right to stay in the race, but they don’t have to be included in the debates.

The candidates faced off in Milwaukee ahead of a prime-time debate that will feature the eight highest-polling contenders. SC Sen. Lindsey Graham and former NY Gov. George Pataki didn’t make the cut.

“You know why I respect them?” he said.

“I felt like I did what I always do”, Christie said. I feel like he was strong. He said since this is a debate, maybe the Republicans should debate about their respective visions for the future. She is the real adversary.

Also largely overlooked by the pundits were Christie pointing the finger of blame for the state’s pension crisis on Obamacare – a ridiculous assertion – and his saber rattling over China.

FOX 17s Josh Sidorowicz is the only West MI reporter in Milwaukee and will have live reports from the debate throughout the week. DuHaime claimed Christie “always” avoids the spin room.
