Kris Jenner Turns 60 : Kardashians Throw A ‘Great Gatsby’ Themed Party

According to Harper’s Bazaar, the Kardashian and Jenner sisters joined forces and shelled out a reported $2 million for their mother’s bash. All her girls were there – Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie – and of course her boys Kanye and Tyga… but we’re pretty sure Rob wasn’t there.

Other guests reliving the Roaring Twenties included: Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, Kathy and Rick Hilton, Boy George, Tommy Hilfiger, Courtney Love, Mel B and John Legend.

If the above text from Gossip Cop wasn’t clear enough, the website added: “Kris Jenner was not looking for her boyfriend Corey Gamble to propose to her at her 60th birthday party, despite a wholly fabricated report”. The main event lasted until about 3:00 am, where guests were dancing to tracks spun by DJ Cassidy and enjoying the ’20s ambiance.

See, back in 1985 when she turned 30, Jenner made a very campy, very 80’s video in which she sang “I Love My Friends” to the tune of Randy Newman’s “I Love L.A”.

However Kim, Khloe and Kylie all went for floor length sequinned dresses. Instead Caitlyn took to twitter to pen a simple message to her former wife which read: “Happy birthday @krisjenner”.

The clip apparently ended with a cameo appearance from Caitlyn Jenner, who was unable to attend the party.

In a video posted to Jenner’s YouTube channel Saturday, the entire family and a bevy of famous friends paid musical tribute to Kris.

“Mom, I’m going to give this Emmy to you because you were the one who started it all”, she said, remarking on West’s public comments about how the Kardashians should win an Emmy. The 35-year-old comedienne did eventually grace the VMA and presented singer Nicki Minaj the award for Best Hip Hop Video by her lonesome.
