In what has become an unfortunately common occurrence, GAME has admitted that not everyone who has has pre-ordered the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition will get their copy today – blaming customer’s banks and PayPal for the trouble.
Given the release-day excitement now surrounding Fallout 4, 3D Hubs made a decision to renew interest in Haas’ 3D printed design, and have offered a simplified procedure to enable fans to get their own unofficial Pip-Boy as easily as possible, using their local 3D hub.
GAME has put up a statement on Facebook admitting the problems, but claiming that everyone will still get their pre-order eventually. They were asked to provide their order number, a telephone contact, and a time to call.
A lot of gamers ordered the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition, which includes collectibles such as a weatable Pip-Boy accessory (that also serves as a companion to the app), an actual Pip-Boy pocket guide, a physical Vault-Tec Perk poster and Power Armor metal case. Now as we speculated last time, if you weren’t quick on the draw, this means that if you wanted the Pip-Boy Edition you’d probably have to turn to eBay or Craigslist, and boy were we right.
However, many customers continue to experience problems with their orders.
We now have the latest status update to bring you on how things are looking at many major retailers across both countries to see if you will still be able to place an order this month. I was phoned earlier today, and I gave them my current card information (the same info they ALREADY HAVE!) and I received the order confirmation email… I’ve been told by a customer that he had enough money in the bank and there was no evidence that GAME tried to take payment but his order was still cancelled. “Seriously, what in the flying feather are you playing at?” “My daughter contacted her bank, who said no attempt had been made to collect the payment”, says one.
Today marks the launch of one of the most anticipated games of 2015, Fallout 4, and while for most the launch has gone smoothly, a number of people have been left angered at GAME for the way they’ve handled the shortage of stock for the limited edition Pip-boy Edition of Fallout 4.
