October yet another record sales month for BMW
BMW sales and marketing chief, Ian Robertson, said the automaker’s SUV lineup was showing “particularly good growth in a competitive environment”.

BMW Group sales, which includes BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce brand vehicles, rose 4 percent to 191,651 units from previous year.
Moving ahead, the company expects the sales to improve as customers are responding positively to the new BMW 7 Series. That said, total volumes still aren’t all that high, with Italian sales numbering fewer than 60,000 and Portuguese registrations standing at a mere 12,000 or so. The Clubman starts to arrive in showrooms at the end of the month, the company said.
In the USA, BMW Group sales fell 6.6 percent in October.

BMW bucked the sales trend in October, posting a 14.5% increase in United Kingdom registrations in a market that slumped by just over 1%. The strongest year-to-date markets for the BMW Group were Europe with a 10.1 percent increase, 5,4 percent up in the USA, while in China deliveries grew only by 2.3 percent. Deliveries in the first 10 months rose 5.8% to 1,560,697.
