Geno Smith: I didn’t owe IK Enemkpali money, but I forgive him

The NY Jets will be hosting the Buffalo Bills on Thursday Night Football, and that means the return of Rex Ryan.

Panthers quarterback Cam Newton started a controversy by stealing a pro-Packers banner, but his teammates took the blame; Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said he got scared at the end of the game; Eagles players were especially critical of Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy; and Rams coach Jeff Fisher isn’t happy with former National Football League player Rodney Harrison. If that name sound familiar, well, he’s the guy who ended up with the Bills after he was cut by the Jets for slugging then-starting quarterback Geno Smith during a locker room fight Aug 11. I really don’t think about it. That’s the reality of it. We are both gunning for the same thing, that’s what makes it special.

“Could have played guys in the right position”, said Pryor, who was moved from his natural strong safety to free safety by Ryan as a rookie past year. You have to understand why they’re on your team, so when you put them in there, you have to make sure you understand what they do. During a conference call with the NY media, Ryan stood by his statement that the 2013 Jets’ draft class was an “A-plus”.

10/17/2014: Tom Brady completed 20 of 37 for 261 yards and three touchdowns in the Patriots 27-25 win over the Jets in Ryan’s final season as New York’s head coach. Both of those wide receivers have come up big this season and are poised to have a big game this week against Buffalo.

“Typical Rex”, Marshall said.

Good ol’ Rex Ryan.

“You’re not about to sit up here and sell a Whopper at no McDonald’s, you know what I’m saying?” Smith entered the season as the starter, but after getting punched in the jaw Fitzpatrick took over.

Reporters got wind of the tweet and told Ryan about it during his news conference, and the Bills coach responded playfully that Pryor was just mad because Clemson – where Ryan’s son plays – defeated Louisville – Pryor’s alma mater – this season. If they win, Rex can say just about anything he wants to say, but if they lose, it doesn’t matter what he says. It’s facing the Bills.

-The Jets will have a new kicker Thursday.

Oh, who knows, maybe Rex just has a really unhealthy obsession with trying to beat Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and that’s why he’s opted to stay in the division get whooped twice a year, instead of going to Atlanta and winning in an easier division. Folk was injured in pregame warmups Sunday, forcing punter Ryan Quigley into kicking duties.

He insulted Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick-and not because of anything Fitzpatrick has or hasn’t done on the field, but because Fitzpatrick is man enough not to shave his face.

Fitzpatrick continued to dodge the question Monday but acknowledged he either has to have the surgery Friday or wait until after the season. They’ll head into this game certain it can go either way.

NOTES: Cornerback Antonio Cromartie (thigh bruise) is no better than “50/50” to play against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday….

Rex Ryan and Karl Dunbar will look to keep Fitzpatrick in check on Thursday night
