At least a dozen Israelis are said to have died.

One boy was shot and wounded, and the other was subdued by passengers.
AHMAD GHARABLI/AFP/Getty Images Israeli paramedics carry a Palestinian boy away on a stretcher after he was shot by an Israeli security guard whom the young assailant allegedly stabbed, officials said.
Israeli police said the 12- and 13-year-old boys stabbed and moderately wounded the guard on a light rail train in the settlement of Pisgat Zeev. An Israeli security guard also suffered moderate injuries.
Another attack was foiled later in the afternoon when an attempted stabbing of a Border Police officer in East Jerusalem at a checkpoint near Abu Dis was prevented. “What are you waiting for?'” eyewitness Yaakov Tal told Ynet. Around 1,008 Palestinians were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets. The guard courageously – he must have already been stabbed – ran with me.
“If this is unveiled and resolved, then it will be easy to unveil who holds the political responsibility for assassinating Arafat and getting rid of him, and certainly the one who holds this responsibility is in Israel”, said al-Qedwa.
“We gather today to take a decision about what we can do to stop these crimes and violations”, the UAE minister said.
“Israel is responsible”, he said, without giving further details other than to add that “we still need a few time to elucidate the exact circumstances of this assassination”. Palestinians say the unrest is the inevitable result of almost 50 years of Israeli occupation and no hope for gaining independence. On Tuesday, a 13-year-old Palestinian boy went on trial before a Jerusalem court over a stabbing last month that fueled a high-profile media war. That incident prompted a volley of accusations between the Israeli and Palestinian leadership with President Mahmoud Abbas accusing Israel of killing the younger assailant, Ahmed Manasra “in cold blood”.

The security camera footage, released by Israeli authorities in the wake of the attack, purported to show the cousins – knives in hand – following the Israeli victims.
