Gerald Green Allegedly Punched Man In Face During Bloody Condo Tirade

When Gerald Green was suspended by the Miami Heat for two games, it was described as being for conduct detrimental to the team.

For reasons unknown, Green showed up to his apartment building with bloody hands and asked the clerk to call paramedics before walking outside, where he collapsed.

That’s when Green, according to the report, punched the man in the right eye.

“Mr. Green tried to make his way up to his unit”.

For one thing, Miami Fire and Rescue was called to the condo where Green was staying on November 3.

After that report was debunked and Green was released from the hospital the lack of information led to more social media speculation including the possible use of illicit substances.

According to the police report, Green had to be restrained by fire rescue because he was being “combative” and was handcuffed.

“He’s really a great kid”, Riley said.

“We’ll work him back”, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said.

Before the incident, Green averaged 10.3 points in three games for Miami.

Green, who signed a free-agent deal with the Heat in July, was hospitalized for several days last week and has not been with the team since.

“I want to apologize to my family, fans and the HEAT organization”.

Green will begin his suspension immediately and will be able to return to game action next Tuesday when Miami takes on the Minnesota Timberwolves. He’ll also miss Thursday’s game against the Utah Jazz. However, it doesn’t mean the person won’t pursue a lawsuit against Green at a later time. “I accept the suspension and look forward to rejoining my teammates this weekend”.
