“Now, as I return here more than 20 years later, I am so heartened to see and hear of all that you have grown from those new beginnings”.

But today, today, Charles and Camilla will be garnering their share of pop-culture blog headlines, most likely, thanks to this shot of Camilla wielding an eight-inch knife near Charles’s face.

The Prince of Wales has met New Zealand Prime Minister John Key for talks in Auckland.

New Zealand became the first nation to win successive World Cup titles when they beat arch-rivals Australia in a thrilling final at Twickenham last weekend and avid rugby fan Prince Harry presented McCaw with the trophy.

At a state reception at Government House featuring leading New Zealanders Charles gave a short speech and jokingly admitted he was thankful the All Blacks had beaten Australia. This is New Zealand’s longest river on the North Island.

“I couldn’t believe it when he turned around and came towards me and said “oh, I don’t know if we should do that” and I just grabbed him and got a kiss”.

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall have been left bewitched by a close encounter with a bumble bee.

The Spirit of New Zealand vessel has now set sail again.

“I was just hoping that he didn’t think I was a insane stalker”.

No sooner had the royal couple arrived in South Australia – at Seppeltsfield winery in the Barossa Valley near the town of Tanunda – that the Duchess of Cornwall thrust it towards him and joked: “Behave yourself!”

A Royal Australian Air Force plane is waiting at Whenuapai Airport for the royal couple to board.

Meanwhile Camilla revealed she has adopted a dog that had been tied to the central reservation of a motorway when she visited Wellington SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Camilla spent time with the prisoners learning how education, art, singing and poetry was helping them overcome their problems. The second in line to the throne Prince William and his son Prince George were not forgotten – along with Prince Harry and the Duchess of Cambridge, their birth year barrels were shown to the guests before they met artisan makers of regional produce, including Maggie Beer.
