Lockette walks out of hospital, immediately buys 100 cheeseburgers for homeless
Either way, what Ricardo Lockette did on November 5th upon being released from a Dallas hospital was truly wonderful: After passing through an area in Dallas with a large homeless population, the Seahawks wide receiver and his parents stopped at a nearby McDonald’s, grabbed 100 cheeseburgers, and returned to the area to hand them out to the people. He then handed them out to homeless people on the street, according to TMZ Sports.

Lockette had surgery to stabilize his neck last Monday after suffering ligament damage, a disk injury and a concussion in a collision with Jeff Heath of the Dallas Cowboys late in the first half of Seattle’s 13-12 victory. However, before leaving Texas, Lockette gave back to the Dallas community with a major act of kindness: he bought and delivered 100 cheeseburgers to people in a homeless community.

“It was a attractive thing”, said Lockette’s father, Earl, to TMZ. He’s now going to need to spend the rest of the season rehabbing in the hopes of making a full recovery and returning to the field next season. “Some people were like, ‘What happened to you?’ But Ricardo didn’t try and bring attention to who he was”. A few people knew who he was.
