Target is joining a list of retailers, including Macy’s, Sears, Belk and Kohl’s, opening at 6 p.m. on Turkey Day.
As we move closer to Black Friday 2015 and the inevitable Thanksgiving Day deals we start to get a better picture of what Walmart will offer this year. (TGT – Analyst Report) will open its stores at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving, as it did past year, thereby providing bargain hunters with lucrative offers.
Target also unveiled its promotional strategy for Black Friday, wherein it will launch an innovative “10 Days of Deals”.
More discounted deals from Staples are also expected to arrive during the aforementioned holiday.
Other than Best Buy, Target also announced that it will deal a price markdown on its items this coming Thanksgiving Day, according to Tech Times.
Walmart is again offering a mobile check-in service that lets you buy online and pick up your items in the store.
It follows a trend among major retailers that have pushed Black Friday openings earlier and earlier, looking to boost sales with more store hours.
Target also plans to expand its curbside pickup service to 121 stores, up from 21 past year, and to extend its price-matching service.
As retailers pushed to open on Thanksgiving, Black Friday briefly lost its spot as the leading day for both shopper visits and sales, according to ShopperTrak, a global provider of consumer behavior insight and location-based analytics.
There are, as is the norm now, plenty of online and pre-Black Friday deals to consider too – browse around on BestBlackFriday.com for a sampling. More people, 63%, plan to shop on Black Friday. The Black Friday deals will be available starting at 12:01 a.m. Pacific time on Thanksgiving, or 3:01 a.m.in New Jersey. Phone activations begin at 9pm on November 26th, and starting at 6pm the retailer will take appointments for activations. There are deals on the new Samsung Galaxy smartphones and iPhones, but nothing insane aside from a $50 Samsung Galaxy Note 5 with a 2-year stint through Sprint or Verizon. Brilliant! Bigger chains could never give up Black Friday.
