The Casino told Veronica Castillo, an OR native, that she did not win any money after she put $100 into a slot machine and hit the jackpot.

KGW News “I was very disappointed, very upset and then I started to think about all the people there, and then I got angry”, Castillo said.

She recorded the machine on her phone, and the balance in the lower left corner shows it is well above $8 million.

Hopes dashed: Ms Castillo was a millionaire for about five minutes. Casino bosses then told her there was no jackpot, that the machine malfunctioned.

‘I was very excited and happy, ‘ she told KOIN, ‘Then, I couldn’t believe it’. Yet, the casino machines have a sticker on the side that says “malfunction voids all pays and plays”.

“To me, it’s cheating, may even be fraudulent”, Castillo told KOIN 6 News.

Without the malfunction… Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel show Veronica Castillo’s actual winnings from a game recall device on her pokie.

And while they’ve offered her an apology and a weekend stay at the property, to include dining and free play, Castillo is in the process of getting an attorney. “My first thought was, how many people has this happened to?”
