Chelsea won’t sack Mourinho, says former Blues manager Ancelotti

Ancelotti is now out of work after leaving the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of last season, but he has dismissed suggestions he was ready to replace the under pressure Mourinho at the Bridge.

The Blues have managed just three league wins and sit 16th in the table, having already lost seven of their 12 games.

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has issued a public statement of support for the club’s manager, Jose Mourinho, as per the Mirror.

Carlo Ancelotti claims Liverpool made no contact with him regarding becoming their new manager – and believes they made the right choice appointing Jurgen Klopp.

Ancelotti is the bookies favourite to take over at Chelsea if the club’s owner Roman Abramovich brings down the curtain on Mourinho’s second spell as the club’s manager.

“I know them and I know they weren’t guilty of any misconduct”.

The return of the Ivorian would be a great addition to the Chelsea side with the players needing motivation following their bad start to the season. “It’s impossible. They have lost something and it’s hard to change like a switch”.

Mourinho might be one step away from copying Bart Simpson, wrapping himself in tin foil and declaring that people are stealing his thoughts, but if it was Emenalo who was the driving force behind a few of the club’s recent recruits, then he’d certainly have a point. The Spaniard formed an extraordinary link with his compatriot Costa and was fundamental to helping Hazard in his award as best Premier League player of the year. I look at his body language and he’s okay. He has confidence. During the Dynamo Kiev game the supporters were singing his name.

He added: “We’re not doing well in the league at the moment”. I think they can be really competitive. I feel good in myself, but this is a team and the level of a player depends on the level of the team.
