Adidas unveils official match ball for Euro 2016

After a plethora of teams released pictures of the kits that they will be donning in France next summer, now the ball that will be used in the tournament has also been shown online, in what is branded as Adidas’ Beau Jeu ball. For the first time ever, there will be a separate ball for the knockout stages.

The “Beau Jeu”, which translates as “Beautiful Game”, was revealed by the former France captain Zinedine Zidane, who won the European Championship with France in 2000. FUTURE ARENA is a five-a-side football pitch with an incredible 360° projected digital football stadium, surrounding the players who dare to take the field and experience what it feels like to play in front of 50,000 screaming fans. FUTURE ARENA will be open for four days from today (Thursday, 12th to Sunday, 15th November 2015) and will give youngsters from across Europe the chance to play with the new UEFA EURO 2016TM group stage ball.

More interestingly, perhaps, it features the same panel design as the “Brazuca”, the ball used at the 2014 World Cup.

Adidas have officially unveiled the match ball for next summer’s Euro 2016 tournament in France.

The ruling body UEFA said that all 24 participating teams will receive the ball, which also has a few silver touches to highlight the trophy, by the end of November to get used to it ahead of the June 10-July 10 tournament.

Several world stars of football already had the opportunity to test Beau Jeu and shared opinions about its qualities. The Beau Jeu is made for “true flight, accuracy and control”.
