Authorities have not given details on the number of those on the jet, except to say it’s presumed that none of them survived and that a pilot and co-pilot were among them.

According to multiple reports, a twin-engine Hawker 125-700 left Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport at 6:30 a.m. Monday. “Then the aircraft hit half of an apartment building, destroying it before running up an embankment behind the building and coming to rest”, Dinh-Zarr said. Ohio State Highway Patrol Lt. Bill Haymaker said it clipped utility wires on the way down and crashed into the building.

It crashed Tuesday afternoon in Akron as it approached the small airport where it was to land.

Federal aviation investigators will focus their efforts Thursday on the recovery of the fuselage and two engines of a plane that crashed into an Akron apartment building killing all nine people on board.

A Florida real estate company says seven of its associates on the plane died.

A sister of Diane Smoot, 50, Pebb’s director of lease administration and property accounting, told The Cleveland Plain Dealer that Smoot was among the ill-fated passengers on the flight and that Pebb notified Smoot’s son that she died.

Sherman Ivey thought the plane crash was a huge gust of wind until he heard the emergency vehicles and went outside to see smoke and flames.

Seven employees of a Boca Raton-based real estate company, Pebb Enterprises, and the pilot and the co-pilot perished Tuesday after the plane crashed. The left wing hit the ground first before the plane crashed into the apartment house, Dinh-Zarr said.

Roberta Porter was driving with her grandson through Akron, Ohio, when a plane suddenly “dropped out of the sky”.

Paul Raider lived in an apartment next to the unit that was destroyed in the crash.

Bartley said Tuesday it’s a tough situation to comprehend.

A go team has been deployed by the NTSB to Akron to look into the crash, as reported by the Sun Sentinel.

The Summit County coroner on Wednesday sought the expertise of a forensics team from Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania. A benefit, Haymaker said, is the crash site is considered small and contained.
