STEPHEN Curry endured his worst shooting night of the young season, but his Golden State Warriors still notched their eighth straight win on Monday – 109-95 over the Detroit Pistons.

Nuggets center JJ Hickson led the way with 19 points and 13 rebounds while point guard Emmanuel Mudiay had 18 points, six rebounds, and five assists.
Harrison Barnes scored 19 points for Golden State (9-0).
Andre Drummond’s freakish start to the season has drawn comparison’s to the legendary Wilt Chamberlain but there are a few that would pass up Drummond for a chance to grab DeMarcus Cousins for their team.
The Warriors will try to improve to 9-0 on Wednesday when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies, who were edged 94-92 by the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday. He had a career-high 37 points and hit 6 for 10 from 3-point range in a 110-101 road loss April 11 in the most recent meeting with Golden State.
Bojan Bogdanovic scored 22 points off the bench to end Brooklyn’s run of seven consecutive defeats.
Memphis, which trailed by as many as 15 points in the first half, was able to fight its way back by reverting to its offensive strength, going inside. G Jordan Adams (knee) and F Brandan Wright (knee) also were out.
The Warriors cruised to a commanding 26-15 first quarter advantage on the strength of their defense, which limited Memphis to just 26% shooting from the field, and just 32 points in the paint.
The Warriors have won eight straight in Minneapolis and 12 of the past 13 meetings overall.
Paul George scored 32 points for IN, which went scoreless for almost four minutes after taking a 90-88 lead.
Things got particularly sloppy in the second and third quarters, as the Warriors gave about nine possessions to Memphis, mid-fastbreak, in what must’ve been an act of compassion for a struggling offense.
The Warriors kept committing turnovers, allowing the Grizzlies to get back into the game. The second beat the third quarter buzzer with a running three just past halfcourt that put the Warriors up 74-63 heading into the fourth.
Drummond’s layup pulled the Pistons within 98-96 and Jackson’s floater with 5:21 left tied it at 98.
Although Mr. Arthur brought up very valid arguments about how the Western Conference has become even stronger and more hard than it was past year, the Warriors could be an even better team than they were last season.
Jonas Valanciunas scored 17 for Toronto.
