Having qualified for their first major tournament since 1958, Wales had a number of injury concerns in the build-up to their first preparatory match for next summer’s Euro 2016.
“They’re nearly rebuilding but we’re up against a wounded animal and a risky one”. The 2014 World Cup semi-finalists finished a distant fourth in Group A, which meant they did not even reach the Euro 2016 Play-Offs. They wont be expecting our boys to take it easy or have a rest. “They’ll come to see us perform for Wales”.
“They have a few big games coming up and they want to make sure he’s available”, he said. “We move on”, said Coleman.
“I don’t think if it was reversed club managers would like it if we said rest him because we’re playing afterwards”.
Swansea manager Monk called the action “a little bit farcical”, “pointless”, and “ridiculous” adding his hope that captain Ashley Williams and Neil Taylor would not play 90 minutes.
“I don’t think it’s for anyone else to say who we are picking and why, as long as we send players back in a fit any healthy state, which 99 times out 100 we do, it’s not for anybody to suggest who we pick and play”.
‘I’ve already got a team in my head, I know how we’re going to go, the changes I will make, it’s got nothing to do with any outside influence.
‘The last three or four years we’ve had good relationships with clubs.
As well as Ramsey, Wales will also be without Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale against Netherlands.
The 26-year-old sustained a calf injury in October, prompting Coleman to leave him out of the squad for Friday’s friendly at Cardiff City Stadium.
“He’s had a tough time in terms of his injury”, BBC Sport quotes the Dragons boss as saying.
“Some games we will be on the back foot, but if we are confident we can let teams have the ball and we are not going to get broken down, then we don’t mind that sometimes”.
Roberts sees the Dutch as a good test for the squad and is hopeful that striker Sam Vokes shakes off a tight groin to feature.

“It is all about the player, the player is the most important with his health and well-being so we have definitely taken the right option”.
