N Srinivasan thrown out of ICC chairman post
It will be interesting to see whether the BCCI general body will decide to retain its former president and Tamil Nadu strongman N Srinivasan as its representative on the global Cricket Council as the chairman.

The Former BCCI Cheif didn’t Attend The Annual General Meeting so, The Tamilnadu Cricket Assosiation was Represented by Vice-President P S Raman. His tenure will be completed by current BCCI president Shashank Manohar, who will now head the world body’s Executive Committee till June 2016.
“The BCCI representative to ICC will be Shahshank Manohar and by virtue of being the board’s representative to the ICC he will take over as ICC chairman”, said BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur.
Arguably the biggest challenge for Manohar is to show that India can be a force for good after the carve-up of ICC power and finances with Australia and England a year ago, and that it will not abuse the economic might that enables it to make or break a few of the smaller Test-playing countries.
“Everybody spoke in the meeting in favour of a clean and transparent Board”, BCCI President Shashank Manohar told reporters after the meeting.
Although Srinivasan was not personally indicted for the damaging scandal but the Supreme Court-appointed R. M. Lodha committee had chided him for not acting on the elements which corrupted the IPL. But not all is lost for Srini as he still continues to be the president of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, at least for now.
Srinivasan’s India Cements company owned the lucrative Twenty20 competition’s Chennai franchise, which many perceived as a clear case of a conflict of interest.
“BCCI strongly feels that the India-Pakistan series must go on the floors”, Rajeev Shukla said in an interview on Tuesday.
BCCI also dropped former test player Roger Binny from the selection panel as his son Stuart plays for India, primarily in limited overs cricket.

The board is keen to host five ODIs and two T20 global games with Pakistan in December, a window that the BCCI allocated the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in an MoU between the two boards past year. If the BCCI does change the chairperson, the new name will be forwarded to the ICC thus ending Srinivasan’s hold on the board, said sources. “We can’t destroy his career”. The other members are Vikram Rathour, Saba Karim, MSK Prasad and Gagan Khoda.
