One Direction just did something incredibly poignant in Radio 1’s Live Lounge

This Thursday afternoon of November 12th, British time, Niall, Louis, Liam and Harry of One Direction paid a visit to the BBC Radio 1 studios in London, England to play their first acoustic “Live Lounge” set on Greg Games’ show.

As many fans remembered, Torn was the boys’ qualifying song in the Judges’ House stage of X Factor when they entered in 2010.

So, without further adu, here are all of 1D’s Live Lounge performances IN ONE VIDEO. It’s as host Greg James said: the ideal way to close five years before the next chapter begins.

The quartet also performed “Drag Me Down”, “Perfect” “Story of My Life”, “Infinity”, “Town” – of their fifth album “Made in the A.M.”. After all, this is their first-ever Live Lounge appearance.

First, they performed a lovely rendition of Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney’s collaboration, “FourFiveSeconds”, but they really punched loyal Directioners right in the feels with their second selection: “Torn”. Half a decade, five albums, four tours and one member down later, the magic of “Torn” has seemingly not been lost on One Direction. Is that a hint at what’s to come during the hiatus next year?
