He also criticized the school officials who resigned, calling them weak and ineffective.

“I think that when they resigned”, Trump said, “they set something in motion that’s gonna be a disaster for the next long period of time”. “Trump went on to allege things can be much totally different if he have been of their position”.

Earlier this week, the university’s chancellor and president resigned amid student protests that argued the administration was not doing enough to combat racism on campus. Trump should have been the chancellor of that university. “I believe it’s going to be necessary for those people who truly believe in our system, who believe in our Constitution, who believe in our principles and values that made America great, to be willing to stand up”.

2016 presidential hopefuls have responded differently to the recent protests at the University of Missouri regarding racism, with a few supporting the protesting students and others disagreeing with their methods.

“Did you look at demands, their demands are like insane”. Their calls for are like, crazy.

The students, faculty and football players were protesting a university climate that they think is hostile to minorities and were angry at the university’s indifference to their complaints.

Trump also called the protestors’ demands for change “crazy”. “So it just disgraceful”. They were weak, ineffective people.

“I think freedom of speech is very, very important”. “In the case of Missouri, I’m still trying to figure out exactly what it is that got the president fired”.

“Freedom of speech on campuses seems to be under assault in a few of the supposedly finest institutions in this country”, Rubio said during a swing through SC. “I don’t know. I didn’t follow it that carefully so I can’t really say whether his resignation was appropriate or not”.
